Meet Lauren

1

Hi there. Thank you for visiting my little photo-blog world. My name is Lauren Nelson, and I photograph the little things in life and share them here.

The Urban Hippie is a tab of everything I love and everything I live: Photos, weekends, travels, people, food and friendships.

I celebrate the itty-bitty things in life, like the kicks I get from hearing a really good song, chunky earrings, bare feet, fat magazines, art and its creators, a child’s innocence and people in love.

I’m a former newspaper girl who discovered I love images as much as I do words.

Here are some of my favorite things: Writing and writers. Photographers and their snapshots. Passion. Roadtrips. Dillon Beach. Retro cameras. Soulful eyes. Cozy blankets. Learning new music. Enthusiasm. Cutting up magazines. Dressing up other people. My best friend. Beads. Collages. Retro campers. Thrift stores. Cameras. My longboard. Pretending I know how to play the guitar. Coffee. Exploration. Pink typewriters. Probaby you. Pottery wheels. My birthday. Gypsies. Mod Podge. Bylines. Bumper stickers. Cheesecake and ice cream. Art shows. San Francisco. My dog, Sara. Cream soda. Beach houses. Inspiration.

If you’re just browsing, grab a glass of cold-brew coffee with cream, sit back and enjoy your visit to The Urban Hippie.

xoxo, Lauren
