Rulers of the pasture

Zipper. Zamora. Smooch. And Smurf. Four big, lovable donkeys. They love hay and their maple-flavored medicine. Making tons of noise when they see light from the kitchen window in the morning. They love tomatoes and carrots and having their ears massaged. These are Aunt Jo’s huggable, giant dogs, basically. The other morning I took some pictures of them as they chomped and stared back at me. Aren’t they sweet?

I hope you’re having a lovely Tuesday. To offer a little update, it’s day 9 in the hospital with my dad. Good news though — he gets to go home today! So these last hours of waiting and waiting and waiting seem like the longest hours of the entire stay. We’re all looking forward to getting back to routine. It’s coming. Thank you again for all of your kind comments and prayers.
