Five Senses Tuesday (and a surfing preview)

I spent the weekend at Stinson Beach, “Where the mountain meets the sea.” It was so awesome and wonderful, and I have so many photos to show and so many to edit. However, I wanted to give you a little preview of our surfing day with the bride and groom. I love that these two adventurers not only got up early to surf the day after their wedding, but they also stayed on the beach late on their wedding night — and Brian and his intrepid dudes even did some ocean rock climbing sometime around midnight while the rest of us sat on the beach (with the exception of the two full-moon skinny dippers in the group).

And now, it’s time for Five Senses Tuesday, where I reflect on the weekend. Share your own Five Senses on your blog or in the comments. Have a great day.

Smelling:
Pretty flowers on the arch outside our hotel room. We stayed in the Hobbit room that is the owner’s (named Frodo, for real) favorite room.

Feeling:
The dryness of our first week of 100+ degree weather.

Tasting:
Clam chowder at the beach. Oh, and more salt water taffy that Natalie gave as wedding favors in little hand-painted pales.

Hearing:
Powerful waves behind soft wedding vows.

Seeing:
Stars after editing photos for five straight hours last night.

Maggie and the bride (aka Natalie) go surfing the morning after the wedding.

The groom (aka Brian) catches a wave at Stinson the day after he and Natalie said, “I DO.”
He surfed twice and went rock climbing on his wedding day.

Yay! Maggie’s hardcore!

I kind of fell in love with this paddle boarder.
