Who says singletons can’t celebrate anniversaries?

Over the weekend, Maggie and I made our way to Locke for our friendship anniversary : ) One year ago (shortly after we’d begun hanging out and right when I got my camera), we went on our first adventure together. We visited fresh fruit and vegetable stands all along Highway 88 for our newspaper’s annual visitor’s guide. You can see that post here. Well, it’s once again time to do the visitor’s guide, and one of our assignments is to write about the Delta Loop, where Locke lives along the river.

We decided to celebrate with a little picnic with our mascot, Sara. It was a fun relaxing day (even though I didn’t go to bed until 5 in the morning due to rather fun “Lord of the Rings” marathon — thanks, girls.”).

Next up, I’ll post more from Locke and the Chinese New Year Festival in Isleton.

Your pictures are just wonderful… and I had to look twice when I came across the pictures of your dog. She looks so much like my Charlie! Ours has a thinner face (and is probably smaller overall since his body shape favors the Husky), but overall it’s amazing how similar they look!
