Home is where they serve Super Spuds, hazelnut coffee

While C&O is my favorite restaurant, Potholder on Broadway in Long Beach is the ultimate breakfast stop. Every time I visit, we feast on Super Spuds, unique omelets, Mickey Mouse pancakes and hot hazelnut coffee. Super Spuds are, in themselves, a reason to visit. It’s a layering of hash browns, cheese, cooked mushrooms and sour cream. So yummy! You can turn your side of potatoes into a half-order of of Super Spuds for something like a dollar more. There are so many omelets to choose from. Because everyone wanted a taste, I went with something different, The Maui, stuffed with cream cheese, veggies and olives. I can’t even remember what was all in this baby, but it was seriously amazing. I know cream cheese sounds strange, but it worked — very well.
Thanks to Sheryl, Ade, Cerah Maya and Cerah Maya Jr. for making it an extra wonderful morning. Next up — post breakfast park play!
