Happy Monday! I hope all of you mothers soaked up so much good love yesterday, along with all of that sunshine. My family and I did what we always do — one of my mom’s favorite activities: Lounging by the pool. We relaxed, barbecued fish and tri-tip, sipped pink bubbly, got a little too red and raced the dogs into the pool. Here’s a little peak into the day. Have a great week, friends.
Mom spent the early hours in the garden:I made chocolate strawberries (Thanks, Monica! I was so inspired by them at your bbq):Sara loves chasing Sweetie around the water. Sara will only stick her feet in.Polly is our little diver. In and out. In and out. Repeat for hours.I made lemon asparagus cous cous salad. Yum.Sweetie likes to help in the kitchen (aka, pick up anything you drop).Sara girl gets so hot. She’s cursed in the summer as an Aussie-Chow. Groomers won’t cut her hair, and I don’t know what to do. Anyone know how I can help her stay cool in this heat (aside from the water I dump on her)? She’s constantly dirty from digging herself cool holes to sleep in.Dessert. Mmm.
Great photographs! It was a wonderful day….Sally 🙂
What a fun & yummy Mother’s Day. Re: the pooch cooling. We used to set up misters on the patio (no additional mud that way) for our Lab. They didn’t use a lot of water, didn’t emit enough water to upset the “don’t you get me wet; I’ll do it myself” Zeb; plus to patio itself was cooled by the water.
Eee, Pauly jumping the pool. The best!
