In middle of blustery cold days, the sun came out Saturday, warming us deeply and giving life to the river and wildlife along its banks. My niece, Sophia, and I took advantage of the summer-like weather and got outside. We slipped our sandals on for the first time this year and walked along one of my favorite kayaking canals, where houses are built on top of boats that float on the Delta.
The sun was very bright and hot on our faces and it made us both want to dive in. Here are a few pictures of Sophia during our walk. She’s decided that when she grows up she wants to be a hippie veterinarian. I’d be okay with that.

Wonderful freckles. The 5th and last ones are just wonderful.
Extra special freckles; they are somehow rightly substantial. Your blog always feels like…sacred, respectful,….prayer.
Sophia is so cute! Sweet freckles!
Would you be able to recommend a camera for a beginner? Not too expensive; not too hard to use….
Love your blog!
